Customer-Specific PCBA Engineering

Engineering Support That Starts With Your Data

Our review identifies missing data and assembly questions before a build starts. We agree the production files, material responsibilities, and test scope with your team. Design changes remain subject to your approval.

Engineer reviewing BOM and board data before assembly
  • Requirements & Data Review

Structured review of your BOM, board outlines, drawings and samples for completeness and consistency.

  • DFM Feedback

Manufacturability observations on the assembly, shared before production so you can decide how to proceed.

  • BOM & Component Sourcing

Sourcing to your approved vendor list, or qualified alternatives proposed for your approval.

  • Assembly Process Planning

SMT, DIP/THT or mixed-technology assembly routes planned around your specific board.

  • Programming & Test Planning

Loading of customer-provided firmware and definition of AOI, ICT and functional test coverage with you.

  • Production Documentation

Build records and traceability documentation prepared to support your own quality reviews.

New Product Introduction

Move through each build with clear review points

NPI connects your approved design with a repeatable assembly process. The review depth, build quantity, acceptance criteria, and records are agreed for your project.

  1. 01 · PROTOTYPE

    Resolve the first-build questions

Review file completeness, parts availability, component orientation, programming access, and initial test needs.

Review before proceeding: open engineering questions, proposed changes, and the prototype build scope.

  2. 02 · PILOT RUN

    Check the production approach

Use the agreed pilot quantity to review assembly instructions, fixtures, firmware loading, inspection, and functional checks.

Review before proceeding: build findings, test results, corrective actions, and any approval samples.

  3. 03 · REPEAT PRODUCTION

    Control the released configuration

Confirm the released BOM, board revision, firmware, work instructions, test criteria, and required production records.

Review before proceeding: material readiness, revision changes, quantity, and the production schedule.

Keep changes visible between builds

Identify the revision and date of updated files. Tell us what changed in the BOM, PCB, firmware, or test requirements so we can assess affected materials and production work before using the new revision.

Prepare the First Review

Send the current files and the questions to resolve

  • Manufacturing: BOM with part numbers, Gerbers, assembly drawings, and the file revision.
  • Programming & testing: firmware, schematics, test access, and pass/fail limits where available.
  • Planning: build stage, quantity, target date, and customer-supplied materials.

Incomplete files are welcome for an initial discussion. We will identify what is needed before committing to a build or quotation.

Can you start with only a schematic or sample?

We can review the available information and identify missing manufacturing data. A sample or schematic alone may not be sufficient to quote or start production. Any additional engineering work must be scoped separately.

Who approves design changes and substitutions?

Your team approves proposed changes before they are used. We document the agreed revision and update the manufacturing scope accordingly.

Are fixtures and all tests included automatically?

No. Test coverage, fixtures, programming, acceptance limits, and record requirements are agreed during review. Special inspection or laboratory work is reviewed separately.

What determines the NPI schedule?

File readiness, material availability, fixtures, programming, and approval cycles affect the schedule. Share your target date so we can review dependencies before confirming timing.
